Thirsty Cow Incorporated was established after through Equine Care Group it was made apparent that our farmers on the land also needed assistance with everyday expenses not just with their live stock.  Many farmers and their families are wearing boots that have been taped up more than once.  Many of their children haven’t had Birthday or Christmas presents and the women of the house have gone without many personal items including simple pleasures such as deodorant.

Thirsty Cow Incorporated care for natural disaster effected farmers by way of offering support whether it is financial, moral or physical.  The support is given by way of the assistance with food, personal care products, bills, fencing, vehicle maintenance, animal care.  We as Australians rely on our farmers, without them we are not able to eat, have a cup of tea or coffee, enjoy dairy products, wear clothes or enjoy other simple life pleasures.

Bushfires, Floods, Soil salinity and Drought have taken huge tolls on the Australian farmer. Whilst supermarket prices have risen dramatically the prices paid for produce from farmers has at best remained static. Farmers are not able to access redundancy payments or superannuation pay outs although they have put in long hours in all kinds of weather and conditions.

Coming from typically proud heritages, many farmers find it hard to ask for assistance. Thirsty Cow guarantees complete privacy for those we are able to assist.

All assistance is offered free of fees or any other costs, volunteers cover their own expenses and receive no payment for their time.
